Holywell Park offers a range of social activities which meet the needs of the residents. There are regular musical concerts and general entertainment, bingo, card sessions, keep fit classes, art classes and minibus outings to places of interest and shopping excursions.

Activities with the staff (on a Daily Basis)

• Chatting to Individual Service Users.
• Going for walks.
• Manicures.
• Playing games.
• Armchair exercises.
• Reading letters/magazines/newspapers.
• Helping to choose Library books.
• Music and singalongs.
• Maintain life long hobbies, crossword puzzles etc.
• Use of mobility bikes.

Weekly/Monthly activities

• Bingo.
• Art classes.
• Horse riding (can be arranged).
• Videos.
• Visiting Theatre groups.
• Visiting Musical groups.

Outings

All outings are geared to Service User’s needs and capabilities.

Examples of outings are listed below:

• A drive around the countryside.
• Visit to a garden Centre.
• Visit to a pantomime or play.
• Visits to the seaside.
• Shopping trips

Annual Garden parties are held for residents, relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends are encouraged to attend social events such as resident’s Christmas Party, Summer Fair and Entertainment Evenings.
